Style on Direct Openers

Style’s video about opening direct.

Well, yeah, it is about value. That’s why guys with very strong outer game (looks/clothes) do so well at direct – the women are basically already attracted to them…or can decide instantly.  That said, yes, direct is a tool, and if it works for you, use it.  I do not think everyone should go direct on every approach…it is not for everyone.  I teach my clients various openers, including direct and indirect.

“The whole Game is based around value…” this gives me one of those sad smiles. I’d say this depends on how you define The Game. Probably by Neil’s definition, this would be true, but it feels like this overlooks a powerful component of Game – women’s sexual needs.

You can have shit for (Neil’s) value, no money, no looks, no nothing. But if you know that you are great in bed and can convey that to a woman in a nightclub, you can pull. Just my 2c.

Word Up Cuisine, Just a quick troll of the blog. This is an interesting video. I will say this when Neil said that a key component to direct is your perception of your own value, that is the most important aspect of direct

If you truly beleive in what you say and are not using direct as simply as a technique it can work many times. But if you have a high perception of your own value it will make indirect stronger as well.

Good point in that you should never force feed a direct opener in any situation.

OK i’ve been doing daygame recently and my biggest sticking point with indirect is that it usually goes nowhere. It’s like how do I shift the gear so that it’s about me and her instead of whatever the situational thing I talk about with her.

If I go direct, it’s on-and-off thing. If a girl likes my look, it’s on. If not, I’m out. But at least I won’t have any problem leading the convo forward because she knows my intention from beginning.

Any pointers of fixing this (the indirect not-going-anywhere issue)?

Have a lot of material/stories about yourself ready to use. This way you always have somethign to stack to. And…lead! Switch or cut threads when necessary. Yes, you do need to switch off of the opener to DHV/attraction material. I may write a post about this at some point since a lot of my clients come to me because they are stalling in set.
