Shelly and I are both trying this Jewish online matchmaking service.  It’s cheaper than Jdate…and I know someone on it who likes it.

The matchmakers say that they are about quality matches over quantity…so they make few matches (a problem).  You come up on their client rotation once a week, but I keep in touch with mine, so she looks in on me a bit more.  in 2 weeks…she has made 4 match suggestions. Unacceptible.  Plus, we spoke on the phone and she really isn’t listening to me and what (such as not being really far away) or what or I am attracted to.   I probably need to switch to another matchmaker (I know which one of the otehr 4 looks better) although the new matchmaker would still suggest about the same # of matches from the same pool.  She might suggest better matches.

This site will not do well…suggesting a couple of matches a week.  Matchmeker mentality without being a good enough matchmaker to pull off quality over quantity matches.  Don’t waste your time.  I don’t recommend the service.  I have a couple of months left there, so I will update if things change.

The match suggestions so far:

#1:  I already had a date scheduled for that night w/her.   From Speeddating.  Not a bad suggestion on her part though.

#2: good (not great) looking girl. I accepted.  She declined.

#3:  I declined. Problem with her not meeting distance (wasn’t terrible like the matches Shelley is given in farther places like Boston and NYC).  Also, a larger problem with physical type requrements.  My requirements aren’t terrible and are listed within my (matchmaker only) area of profile.  One picture of this match is terrible. This is both the matchmaker slacking and not listening to me.

#4:  I Accepted, now it’s up to her.  Not my physical type  but not terrible.  She didn’t list her physical type correctly, so I can’t really blame the matchmaker.  I’ll give her a shot.  Let’s see if she accepts.  One picture of hers is bad.

Was at a four floor Cinco De Mayo event (social game)  last night sponsored by a latin organization.  Was mostly latinas.  Later on (after the free food) it became dance club energy level environment.

At one point “The Real World Lothario” stopped me as I passed him (he was in a 2-set – a group of 2 girls)…and pointed me to his target with an opener about limes (she had a corona).  She was ok looking but I wasn’t attracted so I’d occupy her but she wouldn’t be a target.  her body was completely turned into her friend…and i needed to mini-isolate her; it was really loud (dance floor level) so I positioned my body away from her (to my right) and talked into her left ear (my right) again and again. I kept leaning back out after talking in her ear and when I came bck in, I kept talking further to the right (but still in to her ear).  By doing this, I slowly turned her (I was kinoing (touching) her too) until she had her back to her friend (and Lothario) and was also very into me.  Opening her body language opened her up a bit (as did the attention and game).  And now, he had his target all to himself without the obstacle interfering.

Earlier, Penny was there but she was in a shy mood so wasn’t doing a good job pivoting.  Shelly, Echo_Girl, and PUMA (I’ll mention her blog later) work better.

Last night I got a hottie on the phone from a Social Event Thursday (and it was a great 20 minute phonecall with a date being setup)…and at one point:

Me: Do you cook. Her: “no. I like food though.”

Me: Do you bake.  Her: “no.”  (She thinks she is losing me.)

Me: You need to bring something to the table besides being cute.  Are you good at buying dessert?

Her:  “Yes. I’m good at that. I can go to Wholefoods and know what is chocolaty enough.”

Last week’s metro (train) opener.: When a cutie coughs, I say:

“Swine flu? That sounded kind of oinky.”  Knack picked that one up from me and has been using it for a week.

Tonight, Lolth (a cutie, and geeks will get the name reference) called me and asked if her brother could ask me game questions. I said sure and she put him on.  He asked about situational openers.  I was walking up to a corner where an Cutie Latina was waiting for the light to change. There were no cars anywhere and it was a small street.  I passed her and opened situational so bro could hear.

“It’s ok to cross on red if a New Yorker goes first.”

She starts to cross behind me.

“This way…if a car hits you from behind…the NY’er will get away.”

We start talking…i ask if she goes to the grad school 2 blocks away (she does) and what she is studying and told her which degree I did there several years ago. (Similar degrees).  I switched her to Spanish (she was Latina) and asked where she was from and used some Spanish Banter. I’ve been to the Spanish city her dad is from…and she’ll be there next week.  Told a little story about the food of the city and qualified her a bit on food.  Then i realized she was at her car (this was all only a 3 block walk so went quickly…maybe 3-4 minutes) and I did all I had time for; I would have liked to SOI (Statement of Intent – tell her she is sexy orsuch) and run more identity stuff.

Moment of truth. ” Hey…you like sangria? We should get sangria when you get back.”  She said yes, so I took her #.

So…Lolth’s brother got a phone demo of game beginning to end.

I bootcamped 5 guys Saturday about 11 hours, 3/4 of which was day game.   Started at a shopping mall, and bounced to a coffehouse/lounge, and then to several bars. 

At one point we were at the coffehouse and all 5 students were in field.  When they returned one-by-one, I had bounced a cutie to our table, and they didn’t know if she was Shelly (a pivot I said might join us) or a target.  She talked to each one…to see what if we are cool and have a good relationship.  Some of them got confused (she showed interest in everyone) and didn’t know if they could target her, but figured it out.  I set up a date with her during this meeting, so I see her soon.
